New Running Music by Josh Kelley, Patti Smith, Kate Nash, and More

Hi BPM runners, cyclists, and other BPM exercisers!

Here's an update on the latest listings at JogTunes.com:

I'm grateful for Josh Kelley's new album, Special Company. It's got a bunch of BPM-walking and running tunes. I posted 4 great runnable tunes from the album. The BPM range is 142 to 175.

The iTunes Music Store is featuring an iTunes Originals album by Patti Smith. I found three songs from the collection for walking at 123 steps per minute and running at 160 and 175 BPM. The last two are actually two versions of "Midnight Rider."

Then there's the UK pop artist, Kate Nash. Great stuff! I posted three tunes, one at 169 and two at 181. They're fast and fun.

Rounding out the list are tunes by Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Sparks. The Sparks' tune is "Progress" and it's Peter's Pick for this week. Peter reminds us that "Sparks were pioneers of the synth genre in the 70s and did albums at least through the 80s and 90s." See more of his commentary about Sparks on his website, It's #34 on his running tunes list.

I'm starting to collect tunes for The JogTunesIndie Podcast episode #17. Please look out for the show on 1/27.

Meanwhile, happy BPM running!

Dr. Bob
