A New Playlist and New Running Music by N.E.R.D, Nirvana, T.I., The Smiths, and More

Music-paced runners are invitied to check out the new running music that we posted on our website jogTunes.com. Please go to the left column of home page - for more details about the sites and songs mentioned in this post.

Our newest contributor, Derek, from Charlottesville, VA, sent us his complete BPM-labeled list and pointed out some of his favorites. We include those favorites in our list this week. The artists are all new to JogTunes.com and include Mike Doughty, The B52s, The Smiths, and Johnny Cash. (Yes, Johnny Cash's song is our first country running tune but won't be our last).

For more runnable tunes we returned to the postings on the Nike Forum thread called "What is your favorite POWER song?" Some of the latest suggestions run within the JogTunes BPM range. We agree that they are indeed great power-type tunes. They include songs by Nirvana, N.E.R.D, and NOFX.

Peter's Pick of the Week is Will Smith's and DJ Jazzy Jeff's A Nightmare on My Street. Thanks again Peter and Derek for your continued, invaluable contributions to JogTunes.

Our new playlist is Born to Run and More. It's our first 1 hr runset. You can check it out here.

Those Canadian flag icons on our site are new and link to the songs in the Canadian iTunes Music Store. We have many Canadian visitors and welcome comments about our new links at comments@jogtunes.com.

We changed the search functionality so that visitors can search using multiple parameters. Just try searching on a genre and a BPM range and see what happens. Please tell us if you encounter any problems
