A New JogTunes Indie Podcast Episode and New Running Music on JogTunes.com

I published another episode of the JogTunes Indie Podcast today. It's our second interval running session. The subtitle is Silver and Serendipitous because it's our 25th show and serendipity played a major role in my search for tunes from several sources.

To subscribe to listen to the show and take it for a run or a spin, please go to the JTIP page on JogTunes.com and scroll down for details.

And, if you get a chance, please help me out by taking the Podtrac survey. It'll take from 5-10 minutes (24 questions) and it'll give me a better idea of the demographic who runs to the show. Here's the link:

This is a 50 minute workout session with variations in BPM punctuated by speed bursts in the 180s. Here’s the breakdown:

On the Podsafe Music Network I found:

# Mayday Parade
# Yamasaki
# Angel
# Mr.427
# Sound and Fury

On the Runners World discussion thread, Good Indie Music, Morrisey suggested and I played:

# The National
# Iron & Wine
# The Dears

Sarathan Records fortunately sent me:

# War Tapes
# Peter Bradley Adams

Una Prosell of After Hours Music, out of Sweden, provided music for the speed segment by:

# doublePark

From Japan and Momo-J’s Far East Peach label comes:

# Amir Khan & Hideo Inai

Please go to the episode's web page for BPM info, links to bands, tune links to iTunes and Amazon, and purchase options.

Peter Andersson sent in some great "picks" for this month. I posted 4 tunes by 4 different artists. Check out Peter's fine running music website here.

All Sussed Out (Live) by The Almighty at 152 BPM

From Motorhead's new album, Motorizer, comes
"(Teach You How To) Sing the Blues" at 164.

And finally, Tom Petty and "It's Good to Be King" at 147 steps per minute.

I hope you enjoy these additions to our growing tunes list (presently over 1000 tracks) and my latest podcast episode. Please send comments to comments at jogtunes.com.

Meanwhile, the best of running.

Dr. Bob
