I published another episode of the JogTunes Indie Podcast today. It's our second interval running session. The subtitle is Silver and Serendipitous because it's our 25th show and serendipity played a major role in my search for tunes from several sources.
To subscribe to listen to the show and take it for a run or a spin, please go to the JTIP page on JogTunes.com and scroll down for details.
And, if you get a chance, please help me out by taking the Podtrac survey. It'll take from 5-10 minutes (24 questions) and it'll give me a better idea of the demographic who runs to the show. Here's the link:
This is a 50 minute workout session with variations in BPM punctuated by speed bursts in the 180s. Here’s the breakdown:
On the Podsafe Music Network I found:
# Mayday Parade
# Yamasaki
# Angel
# Mr.427
# Sound and Fury
On the Runners World discussion thread, Good Indie Music, Morrisey suggested and I played:
# The National
# Iron & Wine
# The Dears
Sarathan Records fortunately sent me:
# War Tapes
# Peter Bradley Adams
Una Prosell of After Hours Music, out of Sweden, provided music for the speed segment by:
# doublePark
From Japan and Momo-J’s Far East Peach label comes:
# Amir Khan & Hideo Inai
Please go to the episode's web page for BPM info, links to bands, tune links to iTunes and Amazon, and purchase options.

Mama Mia Album and Jonas Brothers Tunes on JogTunes.com
I just posted a bunch of great running and workout tunes on JogTunes.com from the album of the movie, Mama Mia. See the tunes on our list, the album on iTunes (US) and the album on Amazon. The BPMs range from 100 to 171 -- great for walking and running!
The Jonas Brothers' new album, A Little Bit Longer, has 12 songs that are all great for working out. I posted 2 of them on our home page. Both are 156 BPM.
.
Album at Amazon/MP3
Our veteran contributor and consultant, Peter Andersson, sent me a great new list from which I posted tunes by:
George Harrison
Airbourne
Scar Symmetry
Skew Siskin
Smash Mouth
Will Smith
Anberlin.
The links take you to their songs on JogTunes.com with the BPM data and links to iTunes and Amazon/MP3.
See Peter's admirable BPM rated tunes list and commentary on his website here.
Here's some commentary from his latest email:
On Airbourne: Possibly the best AC/DC clone band to come along since the original AC/DC, and they're from Australia too.
On Anberlin's "Readyfuels": Readyfuels" is another candidate for my Top 50!
I hope you enjoy these additions to our tunes list. By the way, with these new tunes, I've passed the 1000 mark for songs by label artists.
Meanwhile, best of running!
