iTunes just posted a new catagory inside the Music Store: Nike Sport Music. There you'll find compilations and iMixes intended primarily for running. They boast that the music is "made to move you." In their promo, Paula Radcliffe even alludes to the concept of music-paced running. But, rarely is there a song in their collection that matches the pace of a runner. Only
jogTunes.com provides a specially selected listing of songs whose tempos fall within the range of a runner's cadence. We're guessing that some runners may like the Nikeplus shoes and the Sport Music playlists. We know they'll love running to jogTunes.
Also, please check out the website,
jogTunes.com. It's got some additions including tunes by Sublime, The Fixx, Moby, and the Beastie Boys. Just start scrolling down on the first page or find the songs by using the artist selection field. Like Nike/iTunes we have playlists. But, better yet, you can make your own lists that match your running time and artist preferences.
Enjoy the run. Enjoy the music.

Thanks, Ken, for your input. I believe people who download tunes from the iTunes Music Store will have to convert the files to MP3s or other Windows formats before using the Windows based BPM calculator. That said, the program looks great.
Since I'm Mac based and I'm screening song samples on the ITMS, I have to use the iTunes-BPM program and essentially tap out the tempo by hand.
