iTunes, NikePlus, and jogTunes

Well, music-paced running fans, we got a little help from Nike and iTunes. You probably have heard that the two companies have partnered to make Nike+iPod, a high tech tracker of running experience using a sensor in the shoes and an iPod. In additon, Apple is apparently applying for a patent for a system that uses the running data to set the tempo of your tunes on the iPod. Intriguing.

But don't you think it would be more fun to have the system pick a jogTune that matches your pace? The iPod could be programmed to say something like, "You're running at 160 beats-per-minute. Here's a song to match." Or, " Would you like to push it and go to 180 BPM? Press the select button and you'll be listening to XYZ's tune, Run Fun, at 180 BPM." Now how do I get Apple to hear me.

Also, please check out the website, jogTunes.com. It's got some additions including a list of all of the artists with links to their tunes.
