JogTunes Posts Great Tunes from the Inauguration and a Podcast Episode That's Mostly Jazz

I thought it would be fun to find some runnable tunes by the artists who performed at the historic inauguration. It wasn't difficult. Check them out on the home page of jogtunes.com. The performers include Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, John Legend, Herbie Hancock, Usher, Queen Latifah, and Josh Groban. Pretty impressive list, no?

As a jazz drummer, I'm partial to the jazz genre, and my latest podcast episode shows it. Just published yesterday, episode #29 is mostly jazz of several varieties. I really think you'll enjoy matching these tempos with your workout pace. Just click here.

Also, returning visitors will notice a change in the main podcast page format. The episode list is right there for you to find more fun workouts. I'd love some feedback. Send your comments to comments at jogtunes.com.

Meanwhile, best of running!

JogTunes Posts a New Podcast Episode and Running Music by Nickelback, Sinner, Mary J. Blige, and More

Happy New Year, All!

For the new year, I posted runnable tunes from iTunes' list of top tunes of 2008. Check out the tunes on my home page at jogtunes.com by Lil Wayne, Estelle, Jason Mraz, Buckcherry, and Shontelle. I had previously posted 2 other tunes on the list by Metro Station and Coldplay. The BPM range is 119 for warming up or cooling down to as high as 175 for invigorating workouts.

From iTunes' new music list I posted tunes by Usher, Ben Folds, Ross the Boss, and Pretenders. The BPMs range from an easy going 144 to a fast 187.

Peter's Picks are 6 tunes chosen from his latest complete list of 52 songs. The artists are Nickelback, Tina Turner, Sinner, Axel Rudi Pell, and Mary J. Blige. They'll be on our home page until the next update. After that, just use the artist search feature. The tempos range from 142 up to 185 for a flat out run.

I also added Gotta Be Somebody, by Nickelback, as a tune for walking at 117 BPM.

Check out Peter's great running music collection on his website.

I just published my latest podcast episode. See more info on the page on the podcast page for episode #28.
