JogTunes Publishes A New Episode of The JogTunes Indie Podcast

With episode #24, the JTIP goes all pop. It's really a fun run. You can listen to it here.

Better yet, subscribe to the show and take it for a run or a spin. Please go to the JTIP page on JogTunes.com for details.

And, if you get a chance, please help me out by taking the Podtrac survey. It'll take from 5-10 minutes (24 questions) and it'll give me a better idea of the demographic who runs to the show. Here's the link:

Here's a list of the great indie bands on the show:

On the Podsafe Music Network I found
  • 3 Blind Mice
  • A Band Called Quinn
  • Common Ground
  • Curiosity Shop

  • On IODA's promonet, I came across:

  • Hot Little Hands
  • Les Philippes
  • Jo De La Rosa
  • Tyler Hilton
  • Tommy Tutone
  • elodioO
  • The outro is by Brett Low

Please send your suggestions and comments to this blog or to comments at jogtunes.com.

    Meanwhile, enjoy the music!

JogTunes Posts Running Music by Conor Oberst, The Faint, The Ting Tings and More

Apple iTunes Apple iTunes Apple iTunes

JogTunes.com presents more great running music rated by BPM from new albums by Conor Oberst, The Faint, and The Ting Tings. Check them out at JogTunes.com. Just scroll down to the Tunes list or use the artist search field.

Peter Andersson, our veteran contributor, sent me a great new list. From it I posted tunes by Gemini Five, Darryl Worley, and Gotthard with a BPM range of 147 to 179. Here's his website for more great tunes and commentary.

Runner's World's discussion thread, What song finished your run today?, provided some fine runnable tunes. GoDaddy posted Tick Tick Boom by The Hives. It rocks at a leisurely jog of 136 BPM. I also found Walk Idiot Walk by the same band on iTunes. It's a faster jog at 147.

Angels & Airwaves is well represented on the thread. Daddy_go_run listed Call to Arms. I had this on jogtunes.com and added runnerdad1's suggestion, Secret Crowds. The BPMs are 182 and 155 respectively.

Thanks to DaniAPotter's passion for Fall Out Boy's album, From Under the Cork Tree, I found 5 perfect running tunes with those fun long names:

Sugar, We're Goin Down (BPM 164)
Our Lawyer Made Us Change the Name of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued (BPM 155)
Of All the Gin Joints In All the World (BPM 173)
I've Got a Dark Alley and a Bad Idea That Says You Should Shut Your Mouth (Summer Song) (BPM 156)
Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends (BPM 160)

Check the Fall Out Boy tunes and A & A's Secret Crowds here:

My thanks to Peter and Runners'World contributors, for your fine suggestions.

Best of running (and other workouts)!
