At jogtunes.com we just posted more great running tunes. Some oldies but goodies come from songs sent to us by Susan, our newest contributor and an avid aquarunner who knows her music. Here's the page on her website in which she kindly gives our podcast a prop. The songs are:
The Fever by Dr. Hector & The Groove Injectors (BPM 179)
Why Do Fools Fall In Love by Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers (BPM 175)
Freeze-Frame by The J. Geils Band (187)
Are You Ready to Go by Leaderdog (168)
Andy, another generous contributor, prefers to be called Theodore. He recently sent us a great list of his favorite running tunes. This week we posted:
A Martyr for My Love for You by The White Stripes (173) and
Me Against the World by Simple Plan (143)
Peter's Picks for this week are
Can't Happen Here by Rainbow (BPM 155) and
Back to Start by Girlschool (185)
Please go to Peter's great website for his fine list of running songs with BPM ratings and his commentary on the Rainbow tune (#50 on his list)

JogTunes goes a little bit country
Thanks to Susan, a seasoned aquarunner and our latest contributor, we've started expanding our country genre section. Susan has sent me many songs, not only country, that are organized and labeled by BPM. This is an impressive list with a wide genre spectrum. I'll definitely be consulting it often. Please check out our home page for the new country tunes by Phil Vassar, Pam Tillis, and Mindy McCready. The BPM range is 146 to 180.

Thanks, Happy Stuff, for the Prop about Running Music
Carissa, who blogs at Happy Stuff, just posted a great description of her discovery of music-paced running. She also gave jogtunes.com a wonderful prop for which I'm most grateful. Her endorsement of several songs prompted me to list them on jogtunes.com You can find them in the new song section on our home page (see songs by Evanescence, Billy Joel, John Mayer, and Feist). Thanks, Carissa, and welcome to the music-paced running community.

New Running Music by Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Foo Fighters, and More
At jogtunes.com we received a great running music list from Theodore via email. We selected 11 songs from his list that are "walkable" or "runnable" to the exact tempos of the tunes. You can find them on the Tunes Page of jogtunes.com. They include tunes on the list by Chevelle and Breaking Benjamin and all the songs in between. We thank Theodore for his contribution.
The Runners World discussion thread, "Best Running Playlist EVER", continues to be a great source of running tunes. We found Slayer's Cult in a recent list posted by Skryvanio. The beat is a pounding 186.
Peter's Picks for this week are Lost Boys by the Finnish band, The 69 Eyes, and Lita Ford's tune from the '80s, Kiss Me Deadly. They both run at 156 steps per minute. Thanks, Peter, for emailing this great runnable. Please go to Peter's great website for his fine list of running songs with BPM ratings.
