New Running Music on JogTunes.com by Gnarls Barkley, Sia, Iron Maiden, the Grateful Dead, and More
Music-paced runners are invitied to check out the new running music that we posted over the past 2 weeks, on our website jogTunes.com.
Please go to http://jogtunes.com - left column of home page - for more details about the sites and songs mentioned in this post.
This week we checked out the Nike+ Forums and the thread: "What is your favorite power song?" to find another power-type favorite. This time we came across Go-Go Gadget Gospel by Gnarls Barkley. It runs at 150 BPM. We added another tune by Gnarls, Gone, Daddy, Gone, at 166.
Coolrunning.com has a forum thread called "Favorite Songs to Run To?" Among the latest posts, we found runners who enjoy running to songs by Sia, Iron Maiden, and the Grateful Dead. We posted 5 runnables by these groups.
A number of runners have requested that we post songs in the 140-150 range. This is a comfortable range for warming up. We revisited the Arctic Monkeys' repertoire and found the Dancing Shoes which runs at 147.
Peter's Pick for this week is Holiday by Green Day. It runs at 147. See Peter's website for his comments about this and other great music-paced running songs.
The Cinematics round out our new additions with Asleep at the Wheel, which runs at 167.

JogTunes lists new running music for the week of 4/2/07
Music-paced runners are invitied to check out the new runnable songs we posted on our website, jogTunes.com.
Please go to http://jogtunes.com - left column of home page - for more details about the sites and songs mentioned in this post.)
This week we turned to the Nike+ Forums where we found the thread: "What is your favorite power song?" (http://forums.nike.com//thread.jspa?threadID=220&start=195&tstart=0).
Of course, we may be biased, but we feel that any power song should be a song with a tempo that matches your favorite and most exhilarating running pace. Although some of the songs suggested by Nike+ Forum contributors didn't fit that description, we found some perfect power-type songs among the readers' posts. Please check the JogTunes.com
home page left column for details.
We welcome a new contributor to JogTunes.com. Kathy, from Canada, posted a great BPM-rated running music list on her blog: (http://fiftykm.blogspot.com/2007/03/running-music-1.html). We posted three of her songs.
Steve, from Texas, is another new contributor. His website: (http://www.treadmillmusic.com/index1.htm) gave us four songs for our tunes list.
We posted 2 songs from the list of Peter Andersson, our steadfast music-paced running colleague. Peter has a great website
(http://k1chyd.adress.eksjo.com/running4.htm) dedicated to music-paced running with expert commentaries on many of his top listed songs.
