JogTunes posts BPM rated tunes by Usher, Danko Jones, Cherish, and more

JogTunes.com posted new tunes by Usher, The Ting Tings, Motel, Death Cab for Cutie, and Cherish. You can find them on our Tunes List.

Peter Andersson, our veteran contributor, has a great post for April on his website. From his most recent music-paced running choices, I've chosen 2 tunes, one from Danko Jones' latest album and one from Nightwish. They're also on the Tunes List.

My latest podcast episode is up and running. It's #21 and entitled "The Swedes Call It Fartlek." Does that peak your curiosity? Check it out on our Podcast Page. You can subscribe to my podcast on iTunes and many other podcast players. I would greatly appreciate your impressions of this unique episode. Please send them as comments to this blog or to comments at jogtunes.com.

Many thanks to listeners who've purchased the talk-free Special Edition tracks from my website store. I'll start working on making more such tracks, both in the enhanced and basic MP3 formats. Please consider supporting the show by purchasing this offer (just $5.00). I think you'll enjoy it.

Meanwhile, enjoy the music and and your favorite BPM paced fitness workouts.

JogTunes Adds Our Take on Nikeplus' and iTunes' Lance Armstrong: Run Longer Compilation

The JogTunes Group just posted 5 tunes from the Nikeplus iTunes Lance Armstrong: Run Longer Compilation. You can find them along with their BPMs on the Tunes List. For music-paced interval runners, below is my suggested BPM-sequenced playlist. It includes 8 tunes from the compilation with walking paces mixed with interval running tempos. Click here to order the mix from the US iTunes Music Store.

Peter's picks for this week is "Rockstar" by Nickelback. It's a comfortable pace at 144 BPM. Check it out along with other Nickelback "runnable" tunes on our Nickelback page. Check out Peter's extensive list at his website.

I hope you're enjoying the redesigned website. I welcome your comments at comments at jogtunes.com.

JogTunes.com publishes a re-designed site and posts new tunes and a new podcast episode

I'm happy to announce that we've just published a re-designed version of jogtunes.com that incorporates the original jogtunes.com, biketothebeat.com, and jogtunesindie.com. Now the site provides both label and indie tunes, all the podcast episodes and shownotes, and info for many exercise modalities. I welcome your feedback as comments to this post or to comments at jogtunes.com.

Nike has published a new sport iMix, Joan Benoit Samuelson: Women's Marathon Mix, Vol. 1. For music-paced fitness enthusiasts, I determined the BPMs of the tunes on this iMix and sequenced them for music-paced (BPM) running and other workouts. Here's the sequence:

You can find the tunes in the Tunes List of jogtunes.com among the most recently added 20 tunes. Just look for the album entitled Joan Benoit Samuelson: Women’s Marathon Mix, Vol. 1. I will make a playlist soon.

I posted some new tunes in addition to the Joan Benoit mix. There are tunes by Elbow, The Black Crowes, and Kimya Dawson, who sings "Tire Swing" from the movie, Juno.

I also added two great tracks from Peter Andersson's latest greatest BPM running music tunes: Viva New York, by Heavy Metal Kids, and
I Only Want You by Eagles Of Death Metal. Check out Peter's extensive list at his website.

I just published the latest episode of the JogTune Indie Podcast. It's subtitled "Reggae Rules." Five of the 12 songs are of that genre. It's really fun to workout to reggae. Give it a try and tell me what you think at comments at jogtunes.com.

I hope you enjoy all the new changes and additions.
