The JogTunes Group posts new tunes by Beyoncé, Rihanna, Feist, Paramore and more

It's Grammy time and the nominations are out. Please see the most recently added tunes on my JogTunes.com Tunes List for some walkables and runnables by artists who are "in the running" for awards. The artists include Vince Gill, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Amy Winehouse, Feist, Ledisi, and Paramore. The last three are my personal favorites on the list. The songs range from a bouncy 111 BPM walking tune (The Reminder by Feist) to an all out sprint at 185 (Today by Ledisi).

Peter's pick is in the metallic mood. It's Cannibal by Static-X. You can't help but keep the pace at 160 to this one. Peter's great site features Static-X's Cannibal album as well as insightful, fun-to-read write-ups of his favorite running tunes -- with BPMs to match.

Jack Johnson has a new album coming out soon. The pre-release single is If I Had Eyes. It runs fast at 185 BPM.

Jack put his personal playlist on iTunes. In it I found Beirut and posted their After the Curtain, for running at a comfortable 162.

Indoor cyclists will find that all of the tunes on our site are "cyclable." For ideas on how to bike to the beat, please check out biketothebeat.com.

My next JogTunesIndie Podcast episode is coming out in 5 days. It'll be eclectic as usual, with an emphasis on alternative.

Meanwhile, have a great holiday and loads of great BPM-running.

  • "Le Disko" by Shiny Toy Guns from We Are Pilots which rocks at a fast walking 124 BPM.
