JogTunes adds new running music including pop from Japan

I just added 15 new tunes to the over 750 songs in the jogtunes.com Tunes List. Indoor cyclists can find these songs and information on BPM cycling at one of my other websites, BikeToTheBeat.com.

This is the first time I've posted runnable tunes from Japan. The bands are EXILE, RADWIMPS, and Seamo. See the album art and tune links on my home page.

From Foo Fighters comes a great new album, Echos, Silence, Patience, & Grace. I found 3 tunes ranging from 147 to 174 BPM. You can find them on the Tunes List.

From iTunes promos comes "Tranquilize", the pre-release single from The Killers' new album, Sawdust, running at 156 BPM.

Also from iTunes, Dave Gahan's new album Hourglass has a runnable called "21 Days." The BPM is 166.

iTunes promos lists a new album by The Fray but it's not in their database. I found
"Together" from their older album, Reason. It runs at 177.

The new compilation, Complete Eric Clapton, is now in iTunes. Four tunes, running between 154 and 177, are posted in our Tunes List and on our home page.

Peter's Picks for this week are "30/30-150" from Stone Sour's "Come What(ever) May" running at 162 and "Mercy Me" by Alkaline Trio from Crimson also running at 162. All of Peter's suggestions have been "run-tested" by Peter for runnability. You can find his impressive list of BPM rated tunes on his website.

From Susan's list I added "Love Struck Baby" by Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble from Texas Flood. The tempo is 172. Susan has a great website dedicated to music-paced aqua-exercising that addresses BPM considerations.

Thank you, Peter and Susan, for your great suggestions and help in expanding the jogtunes Tunes List.

I welcome your input, suggestions, and comments. Please send them to comments at jogtunes.com. And please don't forget to check out our podcast at jogtunesindie.com

Meanwhile, happy music-paced workouts to everyone.

JogTunes posts new running music for BPM running, indoor cycling, and other workouts

I just added 14 new tunes to the over 730 songs in the jogtunes.com Tunes List.

I returned to the Runner's World discussion thread Best Running Playlist EVER for some great BPM workout music.

From Dave in FL:

  • The Jackson 5 classic "ABC" running at a fast 188

  • Van Halen's "Panama" at 142

  • A country song: "Picture to Burn" by Taylor Swift at a leisurely walk of 106 BPM

  • From UBE2Philly:

  • UBE2Philly drew my attention to Rilo Kiley so I posted our first Rilo Kiley tune: "Does He Love You" at 157.

  • "Star Bodies" at 152 by the New Pornographers

  • UBE reminded me of Spoon and I found "The Way We Get" from the OC Mix 1 running at 150

  • Team Dresch's "Uncle Phranc" is a first post for this band. The BPM is 167

  • "Finest Hour" by Velocity Girl runs at 163.

  • From the iTunes Store promos I added:

  • Another Timbaland tune to our list. It's "Apologize" featuring OneRepublic from Shock Value. The tempo is a fast warm-up walk at 119.

  • "My Bra" by Mya. The BPM is 166. iTunes states that a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this song go to charities supporting breast cancer awareness. If you want more details and have the US iTunes Music Store running, click here.

  • "Any Road" from George Harrison's 2002 album Brainwashed (Remastered). The BPM is 162.

  • Apple iTunes

Peter's Pick for this week is "Time Bomb" by Rancid. This is a debut on jogtunes.com for Rancid. The tune runs at 165. All of Peter's suggestions have been "run-tested" by Peter for runnability. You can find his impressive list of BPM rated tunes on his website.

I went back to Carissa's, Susan's, and Jeff's lists for more goodies.

  • From Carissa: Keb'Mo's "Tell Everybody I Know", a blues tune at a brisk 167

  • From Susan: Two tunes by folk singer Boozoo Chavis: "I'm Still Blinkin" (180) and "Tell Me What You Want" (181)

  • From Jeff: Van Halen's "Little Dreamer", rocking at an even faster 182

  • Thank you, everyone, for your great suggestions and help in expanding the jogtunes Tune List.

I welcome your input, suggestions, and comments. Please send them to comments at jogtunes.com. And please don't forget to check out our podcast at jogtunesindie.com

Meanwhile, happy music-paced workouts to everyone.
